p52 | STEEP




Steep:
Adjective:
(of a slope, flight of stairs, angle, ascent, etc.) Rising or falling sharply; nearly perpendicular.
Noun:
A steep mountain slope: "hair-raising steeps".
Verb:
Soak (food or tea) in water or other liquid so as to extract its flavor or to soften it: "the chilies are steeped in olive oil".
Synonyms:
adjective.  abrupt - precipitous - bluff - sheer - arduous
verb.  soak - saturate - wet - immerse - dip - sop - drench


What is "Steep" about these images?  Well, I did stand on a steep retainer wall to snap these shots.  They are also "steeped" in darkness....
